Alina Jaber
Alina began her journey to yoga teaching after studying psychology and the year-long 200-hour Ashtanga-Vinyasa teacher training she completed with Yoga London. She has found solace in yoga by learning to live in the present moment and to be humbler and patient-transforming her life forever.
She brings these teachings as well as her background in traditional Ashtanga Yoga with her to her classes. Here she encourages her students, of all levels, to experience a challenging and dynamic class which is also therapeutic and mindful. She focuses on the healing process of a holistic practice which encourages cleansing and toning of the body, mind and senses.
Alina’s personal practice builds upon combining physically strong Yoga self-practice with nurturing and restorative yoga sessions and Reiki meditation, encouraging a broad approach to healing the body and mind.
She believes the greatest tool you can to bring to Yoga is allowing yourself the time your practice needs to mature for the healing process to work.
Amanda Formisano
A nomadic mover at heart, Amanda spent her childhood travelling between inner city London, Mediterranean Islands and Polish forests. She has an academic background in the history and anthropology of migration and has worked professionally as a pastry chef and Pilates teacher, mis-aligning and realigning her sore spine. A yoga practitioner from the age of 18, it wasn’t until she discovered the deeper meditative aspects of the practise over a decade later that the magic of the practise immersed her. She did her foundational Vinyasa Yoga teacher training with Marcus Veda and Hannah Whittingham in Italy and London and practising rocket, dharma and yin yoga regularly. Music has always been fundamental to her physical and mental well-being and all of her classes focus on strong and steady flows that help balance the body, still the mind and stir the spirit.
Amelia Adrian
Amelia has been practising Meditation and Yoga for nearly 20 years, taking inspiration from many forms & traditions, including Ashtanga, Flow, Forest, Hatha, Yin & Restorative. Her Tibetan Buddhist teacher Geshe Tashi Tsering is one of the most most senior Tibetan Lamas in the UK. Geshe Tashi studied in the lineage of the Dalai Lama, and has been spiritual envoy and translator for His Holiness Dalai Lama in the UK and Europe on many occasions.
melia teaches classes from the heart, weaving themes of philosophical guidance into the physical challenges. Some of her current Mentors include Meriel Angharad, Norman Blair & renowned International Yogi Elena Brower.
he believes Yoga is about creating space, physically, emotionally & mentally, understanding that we come to Yoga for many different reasons. The magic of Yoga is that it meets us exactly where we are and is truly for everybody.
Amelia completed 200 hour Ashtanga based training with It’s Yoga International (founder Larry Schultz) in 2016 and recently a 30 hour Yin Immersion with Norman Blair.
Andrea Castillo
Andrea first came across yoga in Colombia, when her mother took her to a class at the age of 14. Her background in ballet and contemporary dance meant that she found the physical aspects of the practice familiar, but she had never experienced that kind of quiet joy and inner peace before. She then learnt that Yoga was not a competitive sport or performing for an audience, but rather about introspection and finding your centre in a whole new way.
Teaching has been a passion in Andrea’s life for several years, and since she decided to take on yoga teaching as a vocation, she has been sharing the benefits and the joy she finds in this wonderful system. Her caring and gentle nature comes across in her teaching style. With her calm and straightforward approach, Andrea’s classes are inclusive and accessible to anyone.
Andrea did her YTT390 with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Jean Hall at Triyoga in London. In addition to her course tutors, she has studied with Aki Omori, Jeff Phenix and Joo Teoh.
Carlene Brogues
Carlene’s journey began in 2008 doing her first Bikram yoga class from then she was hooked! Carlene is a British Wheel of Yoga accredited Teacher qualifying with Simon Low and the Yoga Academy (a BWY and Yoga Alliance 200 hour registered school). Carlene regularly teaches group Hatha, Vinyasa, Yang & Yin, Restorative classes & private sessions. Carlene has seen the benefits of yoga mentally and physically and feels honoured to share this healing practice with others. Her teaching incorporates aspects of alignment and strength-building while encouraging inner reflection through her sharing of yoga teachings. Her classes offer a nurturing, safe and fun environment in which to cultivate a strong and integrated body and mind, self-awareness and self-healing by working with focus and commitment, softness and strength, and a connection to inner peace and joy.
Carlie Steadman
Carlie began practicing yoga in 2005, at first to enable her to maintain the flexibility she gained as a gymnast. However, she soon realised that yoga was guiding her to be a more compassionate, mindful and spiritual individual.
She has engaged with many different yoga styles, but found her calling with Dharma yoga and trained with the guru Sri Dharma Mittra in New York where she completed the Life of a Yogi 200 hour training in 2015.
Her Dharma classes incorporate strong vinyasa sequences and stationary postures to work the entire body – with plenty of heart-opening backbends and the opportunity for inversion practices for those that are ready.
As in Dharma Mittra’s classes, a light-hearted and secure atmosphere encourages students to challenge themselves and make progress in their practice, which Carlie firmly believes will translate into other aspects of their life.
Inspired by the profound influence yoga had on her ability to connect with and feel empowered by her own pregnancy, at 37 weeks pregnant Carlie trained as a pregnancy yoga teacher on the ‘Yoga for Pregnancy and Birth’ course with Uma Dinsmore Tuli.
Through use of asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra and relaxation techniques, her pregnancy classes aim to enable students tune into their intuitive wisdom and natural rhythms, to equip them with invaluable tools throughout their pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period.
Celine Eloy
I’m Céline, yoga teacher and graduate of YogaLondon. I was born in Belgium, and have lived in my adopted city, London since 2013.
I fell in love with yoga several years ago – it brought me back to the feeling of freedom, lightness and flexibility I had as a young ballerina, and I know through personal experience how powerful yoga can be in managing physical challenges like arthritis.
Yoga has remarkable benefits for both the body and the mind. It helps those who practise it to stay healthy by learning how to discover and maintain good physical alignment, how to breathe better and how to move with mindfulness and awareness. These elements together will give you a peaceful and open mind.
I pay close attention to the particular anatomical considerations of each person I work with. I know of the healing and calm that can be reached through regular, conscious practice, and I want to help others to experience the same thing.
The one-hour class is a Vinyasa flow. Adjustments are given during the poses, with explanations of their benefits. The focus is on the physical sensations – learning how to be good to yourself – rather than the shape of the final pose.
The class is for all levels. It starts with a gentle warm-up and centering, followed by some dynamic standing and seated poses. We finish the class with some relaxation.
I also give one-to-one classes, a programme can be adapted to the student’s requirements or limitations.
If you are ready, let’s put the music on and have some fun!
Christina Christophorou
Christina teaches open level yoga classes, with an emphasis on synchronising breath and movement to find a graceful flow. Classes are choreographically sequenced to a steady pace, which allows students the space to strengthen, lengthen and balance as they find openness and ease in the body and mind. Christina has always had a passion for movement practices. After gaining a degree in Contemporary Dance Choreography, she taught dance-based movement classes for eight years… then spent the following ten, working long hours in the television industry. During this time Christina increasingly turned to yoga for its therapeutic benefits and wanted to share its magic by teaching it. She completed her Vinyasa based teacher training in 2012, and has gone on to take additional trainings including: Triyoga-hot Tapasya training with Kristin Campbell, Yoga Nidra and a training with Max Strom. Always in search of more learning, Christina continues to study yoga at Advanced level with Anna Ashby and Jean Hall.
Giovina Guerra
Giovina came to yoga about 9 years ago and clearly remembers that, after coming out of her first class, she felt so alive and present. Coming from a background of dance, fitness and theatre body movement she has always been fascinated by the ways our body can communicate, feel and express while creating an inner safe space to develop self-awareness, acceptance and love.
She completed her 200-hours TT in Ashtanga Vinyasa in 2006 at Breeze, followed by a 50-hours Rocket training with It’s Yoga International, led by Jamie Blowers and has been regularly teaching for the past 3 years.
What she aims to do in her classes is creating a supportive, welcoming and pressure-free environment. The intention is to provide balanced challenges for the body, the mind and the ego by inviting students to listen to their bodies, befriend their breath and embark on their own unique journey towards becoming their best version of themselves while having fun at the same time.
Giovina has recently completed a 50-hour Yin & Chakras and a 20-hour Mandala Yoga Training, both with the Yoga People here in London. Besides teaching yoga, both to adults and children, Giovina is also qualified to teach aerial yoga and has recently successfully completed her Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Jacqueline Langdon-John
After my very first yoga class I was hooked, it just made me feel so good, so alive, after eight years of practice, I decided to start the three year teacher training course for the Iyengar certificate.
I have worked in around Sydenham and Forest Hill, in health clubs, adult education, community centres, renting halls and on a one to one basis.
I have conducted many yoga retreats in Europe and the countryside in England.
In 1992 I attended an intensive course in India Pune for a month, taught by BKS Iyengar.
João Serejo
João is an Andorra-born Yoga teacher and Reiki healer devoted to his Dharma of helping others awakening to their Truth, to Love. Having suffered from depression since a young boy, his Yoga journey started in Portugal over 11 years ago when, upon watching an Asana practice, a seed was planted. He now calls it a moment of grace.
However, the Lotus only started to blossom when he moved to London to take his second MA in Film Curating. Always drawn to the esoteric and having learnt much from the Shamanic culture, it was only after having experienced the stillness and life-changing benefits of the Yogic lifestyle in such a dynamic city, that he travelled to India where he qualified to teach Hatha as an apprentice of Yogi Ashokananda, still his devoted teacher.
He later furthered his studies with Norman Blair, adding Yin Yoga to his teachings. Later this year, In October, João will be taking a Restorative teaching training with Anna Ashby (Triyoga) and also a Meditation teaching training with Yogi Ashokananda.
Inspired by his Guru’s – Adyashanti – Satsang’s, João endeavors to re-member his student’s on enquiring the true meaning of Yoga as a holistic system. From the Sanskrit word Yuj which etymology translates as, similarly to the Latin origin of the word Religion (‘Religare’), ‘to yoke, to bind’. Hence, though not a follower of any religion or doctrine, he often describes himself as a religious man.
With a high focus on Pranayama, João likes to emphasize on how the breath should be used not only as a cleansing tool but, more so, as a language to communicate, to open a dialogue between Mind, Body and Soul – reestablishing balance through the opening of the chakras. Ha (Sun, masculine) and Tha (Moon, feminine). Yin and Yang. Let the coiled Serpent awaken.
Laura Kinnunen
Originally from Finland, Laura found yoga in her late teens after finishing her contemporary dance studies and fell in love with the strong, graceful, precise yet flowing movement of Ashtanga Yoga. She continued to practice this style on and off for many years and in 2008 after moving to London, began practicing with Norman Blair.
It was Norman who first introduced her to Yin Yoga at one of his 3-hour workshops – the first hour of which she remembers as being ‘agonisingly slow’.
With encouragement from her teacher, Laura embarked on a 7-month Ashtanga Vinyasa & Yin Yoga Yoga Alliance accredited 200hr training, with Norman & Melanie Cooper at Zolder Studio in London, completing the course in November 2015, and has been teaching both Yin & Ashtanga ever since in and around South East London and the City.
Minica
Minica found yoga through dance training as a way to maintain her physical and mental well-being in the demanding industry. Having taught dance since the age of 18, Minica realised yoga was the new route she wanted to take once completing her teacher training in India in 2013.
Noticing the similarities between the challenges of life and what happens on a yoga mat, Minica tries to teach and practise with an open and sincere heart.
There is emphasis on staying with the breath, alignment, compassion to the body and integrity, as well as an intuitive and creative approach to physical movement inspired by her dance background.
Love of teaching and incorporating the creative elements from her dance background. Sees everyone as individual and encourages students to move for their body, & has interest in anatomy and psychology.
Ella Henry
My name is Ella Henry born October 1964 and fitness is my passion. I started teaching 23 years ago after having my second child I teach aerobics and indoor cycling and 10 years ago I qualified as a Pilates instructor also covering antenatal/post.

Sarah Hansen
Self-taught as a teenager via the books borrowed from the local library, Sarah’s approach is deeply rooted in the therapeutic teachings of T.K.V. Desikachar and the viniyoga tradition; her first yoga teacher was viniyoga trained and she spent some years practicing and studying with Tara Fraser. Sarah qualified as a yoga teacher in 2013 with a 200hr diploma and has since gained further training in pre-natal yoga, post-natal yoga, yin yoga and embodied yoga practices. Sarah’s classes are gentle and nurturing; her primary focus as a teacher is encouraging her students to find balance, ease, strength and inner connection. She teaches movement focused on the individual and aims to create a safe and inclusive environment where students can fully explore themselves and inquire within. Sarah loves to teach beginners and has a particular interest in yoga for the female body at various points in the life-cycle.
Maxine Samuels
Max came to yoga 20 years ago, using it as a restorative tool throughout her dance degree. Teaching is her passion, not only in yoga, but she has five years dance and 11 years Cycle Fit teaching experience.
She passed her 200 hr Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher training course in 2016, lead by Holly Warren. Although her class focuses heavily on asana technique, safe passage to a pose is big in her class, as well as yoga sequencing, yet she has a light- hearted and fun approach to yoga. She doesn’t like to stay within the confines of her style and has moments were she might pop a little something she’s loved from elsewhere and offers it to her pupils, just because, she says ‘if it feels good-why not!’. Her class also includes a light peppering of yoga philosophy and ensures she’s not too heavy on the Sanskrit. She encourages you to play no matter what level you’re at, whilst being mindful at the same time. “Take what you want from yoga and leave what you don’t – it’s all good” 🙂
Sofia Healey
“Yoga is now a lifestyle for me ,that keeps my body and mind healthy ,and hopefully influences others in an equal positive way.
I started my yoga journey after having back problems and realised how beneficial it was on so many other levels. After a few years practicing I decided to share the practice and so I completed my 200 Hours ,in Hong Kong, under the guidance of Master Yogananth Andiappan.I enjoyed it so much I followed it with the 300 hours advanced hatha.I went on to teach privately, in studios ,and in the voluntary sector for a while and came back to the school later to do my Prenatal qualification as I had some pregnant students in my Hatha Classes and wanted to learn more!
Learning is the key word!I learn with my students in every class by paying attention to each one, getting to know their practice so I can help them progress.
My classes vary from more relaxed to challenging depending on the students and class vibe. I like to have music, use props and make the class accessible and fun, so students feel welcomed and are able to leave the class feeling they have achieved what they intended, whether that is a stronger core or a more balanced self!”

Deliah Seefluth
Originally from Germany, Deliah trained as a professional dancer in Munich, New York and later in London to obtain an MA in Choreography.
Before getting to know the very dynamic Power Yoga and Rocket Yoga practice in London she deepened her knowledge in Hatha Yoga through Workshops with Yogacharya Jadranko Miklec from 2008 onwards and also practiced TM (Transcendental Meditation). It wasn’t until moving abroad when Yoga has really become an integral part of her daily routine. She found that being able to gain physical strength and mobility as well as calming and clearing her mind through the practice of Yoga has greatly empowered her and she hopes that her students can experience a glimpse of that in her class.
Deliah has trained with The Power Yoga Company, The Yoga People, Jadranko Miklec, Dieter Junk and Stefanie Erb and continuously looks to deepen her practice under the guidance of London’s many inspiring teachers. Expect a challenging and creative class supported through a strong breath, philosophical inspiration and a carefully selected soundtrack.
